Storm Response

Plowed and salted,
before the doors open.

A subcontractor plows when they get to you. We run our own fleet and our own route, so the lots on our list get cleared on a schedule, not whenever a sub decides to show.

Those red plows are ours, not a subcontractor's. The same crew you trust in July clears your property in January.

  • Do you offer commercial snow removal in Newark and Wilmington, DE?
Yes. We plow, shovel, and salt commercial properties across New Castle County, parking lots, storefronts, HOA roads, and business entrances, from Newark and Wilmington through Hockessin, Bear, Middletown, and the surrounding towns. We run our own plow fleet rather than subcontracting, so the lots on our route get cleared on a schedule instead of whenever a third party gets to them.
  • Do you plow residential driveways?
No. Delaware Lawn Crew handles commercial snow plowing only, parking lots, storefronts, HOA and private roads, and business entrances across New Castle County. We do not take on residential driveways.
  • Do you offer seasonal contracts or per-storm snow service?
Both. A seasonal contract puts you on the priority route for the whole winter at a set rate, which is what most commercial properties choose. Per-storm service is available too if you'd rather pay by the event. Either way you're on the list before the storm, not calling around during it.
  • When do you start plowing during a storm?
We track the forecast and stage trucks before the first flake, then start clearing once accumulation reaches the trigger depth set in your agreement. Commercial lots are timed to be clear before opening, with sidewalks and entrances salted before your customers arrive. On long storms we make return passes so the lot doesn't fill back in.
  • Do you salt and de-ice, or only plow?
Both. Plowing is only half the job, the slip risk lives in the refreeze. We salt and de-ice parking lots, walkways, entrances, and steps so the surface stays safe after the snow is pushed off. For commercial properties that liability matters, so treating walks and entrances is part of how we run a lot.
  • Why hire a local crew instead of a national snow service?
Because the plows are ours and the route is local. A national service or a one-off subcontractor plows a region in whatever order it can and you wait your turn. We're the same New Castle County crew that mows and maintains these properties the rest of the year, so we know the lots, the routes, and the order they need to be cleared in.
